Requirements:

This application is primarily designed to run against the Linksys WRT54G/WAG54G Routers running the SveaSoft firmware update.

This update contains the SyslogD application, and is easily configured from the Routers webpages to point to a remote host where IFM will be running. I would speculate that any syslogd configured for a remote output can be pointed at IFM, but this is untested at the moment.

1. Download and Install Instant Firewall Monitor by extracting the zip file and running IFMSetup.exe.

2. Configure the Router. Choose Administration

Scroll the page down and fill in Syslogd information. Pick the Remote server as the IP of the machine that IFM will run on.

3. Run up IFM and it should start logging your routers traffic.
